The Strong-Tie PGT2A Pipe Grip Tie bracket is used to quickly attach your 2-3/8″ OD metal fence posts to wood fence rails, creating an unbelievably solid connection. Just tighten the clamp bolt on the bracket to tighten it on your post, zip in 4 SDS 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ heavy duty screws and you’re done installing the tie. Whether you’re replacing old rotted wood posts with sturdy metal posts or starting new fence construction, these galvanized post brackets are what you need. The PGT2A model is designed to be installed flush to the fence rail, but can also be field bent one time to accommodate corners or angled positions. Installation:
- Use all specified fasteners.
- Install on vertical pipes, offsetting corners to allow for the correct rail alignment.
- Use 3 to 4 PGTs per pipe; line up to stringline.
- Fasten PGT with 1/4″ hex head bolt (supplied).
- PGT attaches to rails with four Simpson Strong-Tie SDS 1/4″x1 1/2″ HDG wood screws (not supplied).
- 1/4″ lag bolts may be used. Follow the code requirements for predrilling.
- Nail or screw fence boards to rails.
- Field bend PGT flanges to fit corner and angled conditions (bend one time only).
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

Returns
Due to multiple entities, including the factory and the warehouse, we are unable to fully manage stock. The actual stock can be changed at any time. It's possible that the stock may run out after the order has been made.
Our policy is valid for 30 days. If you haven't received your item within 30 days, we're unable to offer either a return or exchange.
To be eligible for a refund your item must be in good condition and in the same condition as you received it in. It must also be returned in the original packaging.
