Simpson Strong Tie EGQ is a high-capacity top-flange connector designed for use with engineered wood beams. The EGQ model contains a 7 Gauge stirrup and a 3 Gauge top-flange with a Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint finish.
- Use all specified fasteners.
- Strong-Drive SDS screws are included
- Install with 1/4″ x 3″ Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws, which are provided with the EGQ. (Lag screws will not achieve the same load.)
- EGQ series can be skewed or sloped up to 45°
- For a skewed installation, the EGQ can be skewed a maximum of 45°. The maximum allowable download is 16,300 lb. and the maximum allowable uplift is 5,770 lb. Joist must be bevel cut for skewed seat installation
- For a sloped installation, the EGQ can be sloped up or down a maximum of 45°. The maximum allowable download is 15,360 lb. and the allowable uplift is 100% of the table load. Sloped seat installation requires an additional 14 joist screws (supplied with the connector)
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

Returns
Due to multiple entities, including the factory and the warehouse, we are unable to fully manage stock. The actual stock can be changed at any time. It's possible that the stock may run out after the order has been made.
Our policy is valid for 30 days. If you haven't received your item within 30 days, we're unable to offer either a return or exchange.
To be eligible for a refund your item must be in good condition and in the same condition as you received it in. It must also be returned in the original packaging.
