Bolthold EPX3 epoxy is a two-component resin adhesive grout. It is designed specifically for anchoring Bolthold asphalt anchors to asphalt surfaces. The epoxy grout fills the crevices in the asphalt as it cures, resulting in a strong mechanical bond with the asphalt and the anchor. This stress-free bond does not weaken over time.
The EPX3 epoxy cartridge contains two components of resin within a single 10 oz. tube. The nozzle at the end of the cartridge mixes these two components evenly. The mixing of epoxy grout requires a significant amount of force. This mixing is simple and easy with the Bolthold CG40 hi thrust caulk gun. The grout can be applied at temperatures as low as 14ºF.
Features:
- The EPX3 cartridge contains both parts of the resin.
- The cartridge is supplied with one static mixing nozzle that fits on the thread at the top of the cartridge. It discharges an accurate mix of the two resin components.
Installation:
- One EPX3 single cartridge of grout installs approximately (4.5) SP10-38 anchors, (2.5) SP12-38 anchors, (1.5) SP18-38 anchors, (1) SP58-58 anchor, or (4) AM625 anchors.
For step-by-step instructions on how to properly install asphalt anchors with the EPX3 grout, see Product Guide Document listed in the specifications tab.
